Tresor - self-titled
Over a few glasses of wine at a private arts exihibition, the two multi-instrumentalists discovered a shared passion for the melodies of Françoise Hardy, the work of Conny Plank and the electro of Jacno. A year later, they returned to the same gallery to record the seven tracks featured on their debut album. Aurélie Muller and Daniel Offermann are two familiar faces on the Belgian scene (Blondy Brownie, Girls in Hawaii, Fabiola). Together, they offer a soft, sunny pop music, exalted by vintage sounds. Originally from Eupen, the bassist makes brilliant use of the German language, which is interwoven with his partner's French words. It's a fusion that makes for a singular and precious composition. (Louise Hermant, Larsen)
