Bambi Kramer

electronica but slowcore

It’s an evening in February 2008, an evening of Boutik Rock in the Rotonde at Le Botanique. On stage, Bambi Kramer is creating soundscapes in which we lose ourselves. Dreamy, and finally hypnotised for good by the haunting melody and chorus of ‘Not Enough’. Beautiful and full of melancholy. But Marie V would later tell me that she rather prefers ‘melancholy’ to ‘saddness’.

Marie V and loïc b.o. are working on this project in parallel with Flexa Lyndo. They have named it Bambi Kramer because of the arts student - naïve and mystical - a fan of Rembrandt and Disney, as recounted by the author J.D. Salinger in ‘De Daumier-Smith Blue Period’. The duo talk about the complexity of human feelings on a bittersweet tone... Minimalist rhythms, keys, two voices, a guitar and a computer adding colours.

What we don’t know yet is that Bambi Kramer will only live two years. Two years of concerts, until June 2008. (Didier Stiers)
